Lisa Buckley

Chief Regulatory Officer

Lisa serves as Velico’s Chief Regulatory Officer and holds a position on the Board of Directors. She brings deep domain knowledge and expertise in developing dried plasma products. She has over 30 years in translational research, with regulatory and clinical trial experience in developing medical devices and biologics.

Prior to joining Velico, Lisa held senior leadership roles in biomedical research. As Senior Vice President of Research and Development at HemCon Medical Technologies, she led the development of a freeze-dried plasma product funded through US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. The product completed a successful Phase 1 clinical trial and was poised to begin multi-center Phase 2 clinical trials. Lisa also served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Trials at the Center for Regenerative Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.

Lisa holds a B.S. in Biology from Boston College and an M.P.H. in Healthcare Management from Columbia University. She has publications and patents in the field of freeze-dried plasma and novel containers for the plasma product.
